DUBAI, – It is a cuisine known for being rich in spices and combinations of flavours, and now Expo 2020 visitors can experience special dishes during “Thailand Authentic Food Week” at the Thailand Pavilion.
Competitions and games revolving around the creation of traditional Thai food are being held, during which the winners have the opportunity to taste a selection of the most famous and popular recipes.
Even the little ones can get involved, and try their hand at making their own delicious Asian dishes through the Thai Cooking Game. In addition, visitors can enjoy some music therapy with performances by Bangkok Dusit Medical Services (BDMS).
Chander Chandvir Ushana, Communications Manager of the Thailand Pavilion, said: “The Tourism Authority of Thailand invites everyone to try the most famous authentic Thai dishes.”
Visitors to the Thailand Pavilion have been giving their verdicts. Maria from Ukraine said: “I noticed the taste of flower petals in the food, which was an unfamiliar taste, but I really enjoyed it and I will come back again to try the rest of the dishes served.”
Amalia from Russia said, “I am visiting this pavilion for the second time, but it is my first time trying Thai dishes, which have a rich and delicious taste.”
Agnes from Poland, said: “I feel as if I tasted all of Thailand in one bite. I enjoyed watching how these chefs prepare their tasty Thai dishes, and I could feel the love in their ingredients. I have also tried the Jasmine iced tea; it was a great experience [with], all of the natural ingredients prepared in front of us.”
“Thailand Authentic Food Week” will run until Monday 8 November and will see a variety of Thai dishes being served up every day, taking visitors on a journey of genuine, delicious flavours and a feast for the taste buds.
