DUBAI, – The UAE Football Association (UAEFA) and Expo 2020 Dubai on Tuesday inked an agreement that will see Expo 2020 become an official partner of the UAEFA, at a special signing ceremony at Expo’s Sports, Fitness and Wellbeing Hub.
The deal includes Expo 2020’s logo appearing on the UAE national team’s training kit, as well as promotions of the top two tiers of the UAE’s professional football league and the President’s Cup.
Expo 2020 will also host a variety of UAEFA-related activities at the Sports Fitness and Wellbeing Hub in the next six months, including coaching sessions, player meet and greets, special UAE footballers match and hosting the President’s Cup trophy display.
The event was attended by Her Excellency Reem Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director-General of Expo 2020 Dubai, and Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, President of the UAE Football Association (UAEFA). The agreement was signed by UAEFA Secretary-General Mohammed Abdullah Hazam Al Dhaheri and Mohammed Alhashmi, Chief Technology Officer, Expo 2020 Dubai.
