DUBAI, – A concert celebrating Italy’s National Day at Expo 2020 Dubai, conducted by Donato Renzetti and starring young artists from the Accademia Teatro alla Scala, performed symphonies and arias from some of the best-known works of Verdi and Puccini to an enraptured audience at Expo’s Dubai Millennium Amphitheatre on Wednesday evening.
 
Titled Expo-Opera 2020, the concert starred soprano Clarissa Costanzo, mezzo-soprano Martina Serra, tenor Azer Zada and baritone Ettore Chi Hoon Lee.
 
Paying tribute to Italy’s great opera tradition, the one-hour performance culminated in a lengthy standing ovation.
